About Volunteering
Volunteers founded Hospice of Jefferson County, and to this day their work remains a critical component of hospice service. Whether it's visiting with patients and families, helping out around the office, or participating in events, there are opportunities for everyone to make a difference.
Some of the things that hospice volunteers do:
- Use a computer
- Stuff envelopes
- Give a hug
- Pick up a prescription
- Play a song
- Watch for a hole-in-one
- Share an experience
- Cook a meal
- Read a story
- Listen to a story
If you would like to hear why hospice volunteers say they receive more than they give, contact Nancy Morrow at 788-7323 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Volunteer visit notes can be found here.
Nancy offers volunteer training on a regular basis, so new volunteers are welcome at any time.
