How You Can Help
Hospice has, since its inception, relied on the generous support of the community to fulfill its mission of caring for all in need. No patient is refused care because of a lack of insurance or means. As well, Medicare and Medicaid, the primary sources of payment for hospice, do not reimburse the full cost of care. The Hospice Residence, scheduled for opening in late 2011, will respond to the need to offer a safe, caring environment for patients without caregivers; however, there is no Medicare benefit for this level of care. So more than ever, Hospice of Jefferson County will rely on the giving spirit of our community to help those most in need.

Donors who are interested specifically in assisting with the construction of the Hospice residence are encouraged to contact the Hospice Foundation staff at 788-7323 to discuss a gift that would be most reflective of your interests.
